Arezzo Innovation Foundation, owned by the Province of Arezzo, is participating in a significant European project in the adult education sector. In collaboration with OpenCom, the organisation partners in the Erasmus+ project “AI-EDU: Building Paths to the Future”, an initiative exploring artificial intelligence applications in education.
At a time when AI is reshaping the professional and educational landscape, the Arezzo Innovation Foundation is helping to bring new methodologies for educational innovation to the Arezzo area. The project, which includes partners from Lithuania, Cyprus, and Greece, will develop tools to support trainers and organisations using artificial intelligence.
During the project, Arezzo Innovation Foundation will contribute to the development of the “AI Competency Framework for Digital Transformation Specialists”, a model based on the European frameworks “EntreComp” and “DigiComp”. “This tool will be a resource for the territory“, explains the Foundation’s team, “offering practical guidance for local trainers and organisations interested in digital innovation in the education sector.“
The framework will include AI-related technical skills and organisational change management capabilities, enabling trainers to acquire technological and methodological competencies to apply in their contexts.
Arezzo Innovation Foundation will also participate in implementing a 25-hour training programme comprising face-to-face activities, online modules and a micro-credential-based certification system. The pilot phase will include 15 trainers from the Arezzo area within a group of 60 professionals across Europe.
President Marco Morbidelli notes, “The Foundation’s participation in this project represents an opportunity for our territory. The initiative allows us to bring European experiences in educational innovation to Arezzo, supporting the Foundation’s role in developing the local community.“
The AI-EDU project demonstrates how collaboration between local and European entities can contribute to territorial development, introducing new competencies into the Arezzo education system. With this initiative, Arezzo Innovation Foundation continues its commitment to digital innovation in the territory.
