Innovation begins when we connect with others

79 Arezzo students selected out of 224 applicants for the Erasmus+ project by Fondazione Arezzo Innovazione

Interest in professional experiences abroad continues to grow among students in the Arezzo province. The Arezzo Innovation Foundation received 224 applications for its new Erasmus+ project and selected 79 high school students and recent graduates from Arezzo to complete training internships in Bulgaria, Spain, and Ireland.

The initiative, part of the Erasmus+ VET Sector Accreditation, involves 15 educational institutions across the entire provincial territory. It offers training and work experiences in international contexts, allowing young participants to acquire professional and language skills essential for their future.

The high number of applications we received confirms the importance of these opportunities for our young people,” states President Marco Morbidelli. “Through the Erasmus+ Accreditation obtained by the Foundation, we continue to invest in the future of young people in our province, offering them concrete opportunities for professional and personal growth in international contexts.

The significant participation of schools from throughout the provincial territory demonstrates how our work effectively contributes to the internationalization of education across the entire Arezzo area.

The internships will occur in various European cities: Plovdiv in Bulgaria, Clonakilty in Ireland, Bilbao, Fuerteventura, Zaragoza, and Seville in Spain. The program covers all major costs, including travel, accommodation, and a contribution for food and local transportation expenses. During the experience, each participant will work with a company tutor and can count on support from a local organization.

Participating institutions include the F. Petrarca Classical Music High School and the F. Redi State High School in Arezzo, I.S.I.S. Valdarno in San Giovanni Valdarno, I.I.S. L. Signorelli in Cortona, I.I.S.S. Città di Sansepolcro, and numerous other institutions representing the entire provincial territory: I.I.S.S. A. Vegni-Capezzine (Cortona), I.I.S.S. B. Varchi (Montevarchi), I.O. G. Marcelli (Foiano della Chiana), I.O.S. Fanfani-Camaiti (Pieve Santo Stefano), I.S.I.S. Buonarroti-Fossombroni (Arezzo), I.S.I.S. Giovanni da Castiglione (Castiglion Fiorentino), I.T.I.S. G. Galilei (Arezzo), I.T.P. Margaritone-Vasari (Arezzo), and the Giovanni da San Giovanni High Schools (San Giovanni Valdarno).

Recently, the Foundation’s headquarters hosted four informational meetings with all selected students and their families. During these appointments, the staff detailed the destinations, organizational aspects, and support guidelines planned before departures, which will begin in the second half of May.

This initiative represents an important element in the strategy of the Arezzo Innovation Foundation, which, operating as an entity of the Province of Arezzo, continues to promote international mobility projects to enhance the human capital of the territory and broaden the educational and professional horizons of young people from Arezzo.
