OpenCom empowers Tunisian educators through SHIFT project training

From May 5 to 7, 2025, OpenCom actively participated in a pivotal training workshop in Tunis, Tunisia, as part of the European Union-funded SHIFT – Shaping High-Quality Inclusive TVET for Tunisia project. This initiative aims to enhance vocational education and training (VET) in Tunisia through digital transformation, focusing on inclusivity and accessibility.

OpenCom’s Contributions

During the workshop, Erina Guraziu, President of OpenCom, led sessions on Active Learning Methodologies, engaging Tunisian educators in dynamic, participatory teaching strategies designed to foster student-centered learning environments.

Simultaneously, Niccolò Agnoletti, OpenCom’s expert in educational technologies, introduced the SHIFT Learning Management System (LMS). Developed by OpenCom, this platform facilitates the digitalization of VET courses, enabling educators to create, manage, and deliver content effectively.

Advancing Digital and Inclusive Education

The SHIFT project uses digital tools and methods to eliminate educational barriers for marginalized groups, particularly women in rural areas. OpenCom’s involvement underscores its commitment to fostering innovative educational practices and promoting international collaboration in the VET sector.
